What are Dual Zone Wine Coolers?

As mentioned, dual-zone wine coolers are wine coolers that have two compartments that can be set to different temperatures, allowing you to achieve the right storage temperature for two wine types in just a single wine cooler. Some refer to them as a dual temperature wine cooler.

Is a Dual Zone Wine Cooler for You?

Because of their specialized function, dual-zone wine coolers have become popular recently. If you are considering buying this type of wine cooler, you should make sure that this is the right investment for you.

Please keep in mind that not all wine enthusiasts will need this specialized wine cooler, not unless they are into keeping and storing higher-end wines. With that in mind, you should consider buying this wine cooler if:

•    You love both white and red wines.

The primary function of a dual-zone wine cooler is to store whites and reds at the right temperature at the same time. If you want to make sure that your reds and whites will stay fresh at all times, you would certainly want to invest in this wine cooler.

•    You entertain guests quite frequently.

If you love to throw parties, then you would undoubtedly benefit from the ample space and the dual temperature feature of this type of wine cooler. With this, you can store two types of wines and provide your guests with the perfect drink that they want.

•    You are an (aspiring) wine enthusiast.

You may think that this investment is only recommended for wine enthusiasts. Well, it can be for people who are just starting to discover and explore the world of wines. If you are just getting started on your wine adventure, you may want to buy a wide array of wines. This wine cooler can help you store them properly and keep them at their prime.

Should You Go for a Thermoelectric or Compressor Dual-Zone Wine Cooler?

Once you have decided to invest in this type of wine cooler, the next decision that you have to the choice that you have to make is about the cooler’s cooling technology. You need to decide between a compressor or thermoelectric wine cooler.

In other words, a dual zone thermoelectric wine cooler or a dual zone compressor wine cooler.

So what are the differences between the two? Well, compressor wine refrigerators pump chemical refrigerants through its coils to keep the air inside as cool as possible. In short, this works the same as your standard kitchen refrigerator. Because of this, this option is extremely powerful, but at the same time, the operation is heavy and loud. Besides, this type also requires proper ventilation as it gives off hot air.

On the other hand, thermoelectric coolers do not use chemical refrigerants. Instead, it operates by running electricity through a heat pump. As compared to compressor wine coolers, this one has vibration- and noise-free operation. It is also considered to be lighter. But please keep in mind that this type does not produce cold air and will, therefore, not become as cold as the compressor would be. Because of this, this type is more prone to temperature fluctuations.

Freestanding and Built-in Dual Zone Wine Cooler: Which is the Better Option?

One factor that you need to consider is the design or type of installation that the cooler requires. For this, your options are either freestanding or built-in.

Just like the traditional kitchen refrigerators, freestanding wine refrigerators can stand by itself and can be placed in different parts of your kitchen. In short, it is portable, more affordable and very versatile. It also has ample storage as compared to under counter and built-in wine coolers.

On the other hand, built-in wine refrigerators are designed to be installed under the counter or kitchen cabinets. These are a lot taller than the freestanding types, but its depth is limited only to the size of the cabinets it will be installed in. This is an excellent option for people who would like to achieve a seamless kitchen design. However, these are a bit expensive and will also entail installation costs. Moreover, they are not as portable as that of freestanding wine coolers.

Where is the Best Place to Buy Dual-Zone Wine Coolers?

With the many benefits that this type of wine cooler has to offer, it does not come as a surprise that you would want to invest in the best dual temp wine fridge. But while many wine coolers are considered to be affordable, please keep in mind that you would still be spending your hard-earned money to avail this purchase.

That is why you should make sure that you are buying the wine cooler from a reliable provider or manufacturer. At the same time, you would want a provider that carries a wide array of dual temp wine cooler models, so you are free to choose whichever model you want.

With this being said, we highly recommend buying from either Amazon or Newair, as they are both fantastic, highly reputable companies.
